11/10/2011 - Charity’s Night of Comedy raises more than just laughs

Our work for the charity Olivia's Vision has helped them raise £200,000 at their Night of Comedy fundraiser.

Richard and Ben were among the 300 guests who gathered at The Four Seasons Hotel in Park Lane on Thursday for the first Olivia’s Vision Night of Comedy.

Entertainment was provided by an array of talent including Dynamo Magician and Jack Whitehall. Professor William Ayliffe and founders Nick and Nicki Davis gave heart-felt speeches about the challenges of uveitis and the aims of the charity.

The £200,000 raised on the evening enables the Olivia’s Vision Fellowship to begin in 2012.  The Fellowship will increase the number of specialists in Intraocular Inflammatory Eye Disease and expand the medical ophthalmology care for patients with uveitis.

Remedy started working with Olivia's Vision in 2010, creating a brand, literature and website for the charity. Our continuing support was reflected in our design of the programme and invitations for the Night of Comedy.

Our involvement with Olivia's Vision is part of our ongoing CSR commitment - our aim is to directly give something back to the communities in which we work.

'We'd like to thank Olivia's Vision for inviting us along to such a brilliant event. We're delighted it was such a success and look forward to continuing to support Olivia's Vision's work and to an even more successful fundraiser next year!'
